Firstly, they enable me to stand up – something people take for granted, but to me it means I can shop (getting things off the top shelf!) and there’s never anyone around to help. I can put away shopping with its ability to go up and down in a sitting position, drill, drive with its fabulous Glock system, lie down and rest, which is vital in M.S.
Secondly, I met my wife, who also has M.S., and it enabled us to wash and have our hair washed, cut and blow-dried. I can have a cut-throat shave – there again, something people take for granted. We got married in the chairs, and without them, day-to-day life would be impossible.
